The dragging or rolling of a ridged glass form through a liquid of heavy viscosity. As the glass rotates through the liquid (heavy motor oil) the wake it leaves behind quickly “heals” like the disappearing image on a radar screen. What really happened was the more rotations through the oil the more particulates organized at the bottom into concentric rings. An unexpected result.
